KAXEL reinterprets boundaries between people and objects by playing with darkness and translucency to hide and reveal elements in a space. By switching between dark and clear “pixels,” it displays animated text and symbols to captivate viewers while giving tantalizing glimpses of products and displays in the background. Linked with a sensor, this prototype becomes an interactive media manipulating light and shadow. KAXEL communicates and engages, while producing a space in harmony with surrounding materials and environments.

●信号制御で「黒」と「透明」に切り替わる液晶モジュールパネル。情報を表示しながら、背景の商品を見せたり隠したりすることで、スペースを有効活用したプロモーションができます。
●英数字や幾何学模様、アニメーション等の映像データをビット調の味わいで描画し、メッセージを効果的に伝えます。
様々な環境や物質と調和し、光と影を操ることで、空間を彩ります。またセンサーと連動させ、インタラクティブなメディアとしても楽しめます。
●鑑賞者側が暗く、KAXELの向こう側が明るい環境下で、「黒」と「透明」のコントラストが際立ちます。
